Kellogg’s South Africa has unveiled the Power Breakfast Café, a multi-sensory pop-up experience running at Menlyn Mall in Pretoria from 11-14 December. The vibrant activation reimagines breakfast through layered flavours, interactive zones, and creative showcases of the complete Kellogg’s portfolio.
The café-style space invites visitors into an experience led by sensory elements: the scent of warm chocolate and freshly brewed coffee, the visual appeal of cereal-infused pastries, and signature breakfast creations developed specifically for the activation.

In partnership with Jacaranda FM’s The Workzone, Kellogg’s hosted presenter Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp for a live Outside Broadcast from 9am to 12pm on launch day. The JAC Feel Good Squad joined the event to explore inventive breakfast dishes and amplify the experience for radio audiences.
The activation responds to emerging patterns in South Africa’s breakfast market, where consumers increasingly prioritize meals that balance versatility, nutrition, and creative preparation over pure convenience. The Power Breakfast Café addresses this evolution by demonstrating breakfast’s capacity to energize daily routines and spark possibility.

Culinary expert Neo Nontso served as MC, leading guests through the experience’s sensory touchpoints. A diverse group of content creators participated, including Bheki Ndamase, George Mnguni, Sibu Mpanza, and Gloria Ngcobo, who recently crossed 1 million TikTok followers. Attendees designed personalized Power Breakfast creations, sampled specialty pastries, and engaged with an ASMR sound zone designed to evoke focus and calm.

Tamsin Darroch, Marketing Director for Kellogg’s South Africa, reflected on the café’s intent:
“Breakfast has transformed as consumers embrace creativity, versatility, and balance in their meal choices. People approach breakfast with far greater exploration today, and we’re here to demonstrate the innovation and quality built into the Kellogg’s range. The Power Breakfast Café highlighted the breadth of our products, from nourishing staples to indulgent moments and celebrated the diverse ways South Africans experience breakfast. It embodied possibility, playfulness, and thoughtfully crafted food.”
The public experience continues through 14 December at Menlyn Mall, inviting breakfast enthusiasts to explore this sensory celebration.
