As I write this, I’m sitting on a flight, heading to Cape Town for our first-ever all-expenses-paid press trip! The Current has officially been invited to cover the 2025 Technovation Conference, and we’ll be staying at the iconic 5-star Westin Hotel. Just typing those words feels like a dream.
This is a full circle moment, from launching our blog in January with nothing but passion and vision, to now being part of a major event that puts African innovation and creativity on the global stage.
What makes it even more special is this year’s conference theme: “Smoke-Free by PMI”, a bold focus on creating a future that prioritizes wellness, science-driven innovation, and lifestyle transformation.
